At the Oscars
Comedian Jimmy Kimmel, who presented the 96th Academy Awards ceremony on Sunday, targeted Sen. Katie Britt, R-Ala., with a joke.
“Emma Stone is an Oscar nominee for a fifth time, right?” stated Kimmel. “You were so unbelievably great in ‘Poor Things,'” he continued, making reference to the Stone movie that received multiple Oscar nominations, including “Best Picture” and “Best Director.”
Emma Stone’s role
“Emma played an adult woman with the brain of a child, like the lady who gave the rebuttal to the State of the Union on Thursday night,” Kimmel stated.

After Britt gave the Republican response to President Biden’s State of the Union address on Thursday night, she came under fire on the internet for her “despicable” handling of the border crisis and for pushing “Bidenomics” in the face of skyrocketing consumer prices that are hurting American families.
Britt continued to criticize Biden’s leadership in spite of the criticism, pointing specifically to the border situation and growing consumer prices.
On Friday appearance
“You consider the parents whose kids passed away from fentanyl toxicity. The senator said, “Enough is enough, and the president needs to take responsibility,” on Friday during an appearance on Fox & Friends.
“He is capable of doing this. President Trump has outlined a plan for border security and national security, but he won’t follow it.
Before her election in the 2022 midterm elections, Britt had never held political office. She is still gaining national recognition.
