Garba Dance:
Many people in India celebrate various festivals like Saraswati Puja, Navratri, Diwali, Vinayagar Chaturthi dance etc. Navratri is especially popular in North India. The public gathers together and celebrates every night of the Puja which is held for 9 days and 9 goddesses. During these 9 days, Garba songs are sung with the nine forms of Shakti deities centered around Goddess Durga. All men and women gather together and enjoy the Garba dance along with the songs. Garba dance is performed in large groups in cultural costumes. Garba dances are performed not only in Thitals, but also in streets and temples.
