Singer Zayn Malik told a tale on a recent edition of the well-liked YouTube talk show “Hot Ones” about an occasion when he helped out former One Direction bandmate Harry Styles at a concert.

Malik laughed and said, “There’s actually footage of it, and it’s actually amazing because it makes me look great,” before going into detail about the 2013 incident in which the “Watermelon Sugar” singer almost avoided a fireworks catastrophe.
Harry stood near to a fireworks display that was set to explode due to a timer. He covered his head with a towel and covered the pyro, so he was blind to its presence. “You see me running from one side of the stage to the other, just pushing him aside, and then the fireworks kind of explodes in front of his face,” Malik remarked. “That was extremely risky.”

One of Malik’s fan accounts shared a video from when he saved Styles from the accident on X, along with the caption, “Zayn mentioning this moment was not on my 2024 bingo cards.”
A different user said, “This is the part where I cry.” Someone commented, “He mentioned Harry’s name.” I’m alright. I’m alright. One of their fans said, “I really miss them.”
Styles was shown in the video wiping his head with a towel while standing close to the flames. Malik then approached Styles and helped him move away from the flames. On X, the video has received over 227.8K views.
