Some people could discover that their affiliation with a church, temple, mosque, or synagogue has a significant impact on their spiritual life. Others could turn to prayer or a close relationship with God or a higher power for peace. Others look for significance in their relationships with the natural world or the arts. Your personal concept of spirituality may evolve throughout your life in response to your unique experiences and interpersonal connections, much like your sense of purpose.
A distinct kind of inward power is found in spirituality. To be able to confront life with dignity and amazement and not lose the joy that life has given you, one must disengage in order to reconnect with themselves, not in order to avoid life.
According to Hindu mythology spirituality is defined as, “the process of achieving moksha, self-awareness, higher truth finding, the actual nature of reality, and a freed and satisfied consciousness.”
Difference between Religion and Spirituality?
Some can’t differentiate between Religion and Spirituality but there’s a varied difference between them.
Religion is a particular collection of organised ideas and customs that are typically held by a community or group.
Spirituality: Having a sense of calm and purpose is the focus of this more solitary exercise. It also has to do with the process of coming to conclusions about the meaning of life and interpersonal relationships without reference to predetermined spiritual principles.
How can one practise Spirituality?
Meditation and prayer – Developing a spiritual practice through prayer and meditation is one of the easiest things you can do. These practices, I’ve discovered, assist me in bringing myself back to the present and grounding myself in “what is” rather than in the past or the future—neither of which I have any control over.
Purpose of Spirituality
Spirituality acknowledges that there is more to life than just your daily activities. It can free you from materialistic reliance and assist you in realizing the bigger picture of your life. Moreover, spirituality can be a coping mechanism for uncertainty or transition.
