Shah Rukh Khan in his speech
Star Khan had a great evening as he took home the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards (DPIFF) 2024’s ‘Best Actor’ trophy.
In recognition of his work in Atlee’s film “Jawan,” SRK received an award.
In a speech of congratulations, he joked, “I deserved the prize for Best Actor and after many years I did not get the Best Actor award, it seemed as if I would not get it again. Who thanked all the jury members? You make me so happy. I like awards a lot, it’s greedy that I am a little greedy. (I express my gratitude to the jury for selecting me as the Best Actor. It’s been a while since I won the Best Actor Award.
It appeared like I might never have it again. Thus, I am ecstatic. I enjoy receiving awards. I admit, I’m a little greedy.) SRK also thanked the audience and the entire “Jawan” crew.
“That people have acknowledged the effort I have put in makes me truly happy and touched. Since everyone around an artist contributes to everything, the work of the artist is not significant; therefore, many people’s efforts went into creating Jawan and supporting my win of this award. I swear that no matter how hard I work, I will continue to entertain people in India and outside, whether it means dancing, falling, flying, romancing, being evil, being a bad guy, or being a good person. Inshallah, I will keep working hard,” SRK said with a big smile on his face.

Vicky Kaushal, meanwhile, won the Best Actor prize from critics for his performance in “Sam Bahadur.” A list of winners also featured recognition for exceptional work in a number of categories, with special mentions going to Bobby Deol, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Rani Mukerji.
