Elizabeth Laracki, the former designer of Google Maps, has expressed her displeasure with the new changes that have been made to the Google Maps app.
Google is currently making more changes and setting rules and regulations. Following this many criticisms are arriving.
Google recently changed the look of its popular Google Maps app. Although many people welcomed this change, it is said that many people did not see that there were some unwanted features.
Former Google Maps designer Elizabeth Laracki has expressed her displeasure with the change. On his X page, he goes into great detail about what he thinks is wrong with the Maps app.
He mentioned that he had been featured in Google Maps around 15 years ago when it was developing its app, but the new design was not to his liking. I don’t like this. This is quite normal. Imprecise, difficult to understand. Most importantly, they failed to make this app very simple and elegant.
A lot of information is piled on top of the map. Currently more than 11 information is spread. It’s almost like a real estate app. He mentioned that it would be useful for many people only if the details were less.
He emphasized that it should be brought in a way that is very useful, very simple, elegant and accurate.
