The Uttar Pradesh government has approved the development of the state capital, Lucknow, as an AI city. Nadarganj, the city of Nawabs in Lucknow is set to emerge as India’s new IT hub.
While the nation is talking about Ayodhya, the state government of Uttar Pradesh is on the one hand improving the tourism sector, and transport sector while also planning and working to improve the manufacturing and IT/Tech service sector.
AI City in Lucknow:
Lucknow to be India’s first Artificial Intelligence City. The Uttar Pradesh government has approved the development of the state capital, Lucknow, as an AI city. With this, Nadarganj, the city of Nawabs, Lucknow is set to emerge as India’s new IT hub.
By 2030, it is predicted that AI sector services will contribute an estimated $15.7 trillion in GDP to the global economy, while AI is predicted to add an estimated $500 billion to India’s GDP by 2025.
The state government of Uttar Pradesh has approved the development of Lucknow as an AI city with plans to take a major share in this massive development.
CoE centers in sectors like AI and MedTech are located in Lucknow. More than fifteen AI/ML start-ups supported by AI COE are located at IIT Lucknow.
The first phase of the AI City project to be set up in Lucknow’s Natharganj area will see the construction of an AI-based cyber city on 40 acres of land.
The project is set up with well-designed Grade-A certified office spaces, state-of-the-art data centers, Grade-A flexible workspaces, and technology labs for IT companies.
The land allotted for setting up this AI CITY is in the Nadarganj Industrial Area, about 3 km from Lucknow International Airport. Also, the Uttar Pradesh state government has announced many incentives and financial support to the construction companies for setting up IT Park and IT City.
The Uttar Pradesh government, like Tamil Nadu, is on a mission to touch the $1 trillion economy. Ayodhya Ram temple and Lucknow AI city are just 140 km.

Meanwhile, the government is also engaged in working on AI data and regulation.
The central government initiated the process of formulating regulations for AI to fo
ster its growth, safeguard interests, and promote innovation in India, according to IT Secretary S Krishnan.
With AI taking center stage globally, the government is increasing its focus on the segment. Recently, Minister of State (MoS) for Information Technology Rajeev Chandrasekhar said that the center is planning to fund and support AI startups in the country.
