On Thursday, the makers released the teaser of the film “Bhakshak” on Netflix. Inspired by true events, the upcoming crime drama Bhakshak will premiere on February 9. The movie stars Bhumi Pednekar, Sai Tamhakar, Aditya Srivastava and Sanjay Singh in pivotal roles.
About Bhakshak
Bhakshak is based on true events and tells the story of Vaishali Singh, a fearless investigative journalist, who covers a dark secret hidden within a child shelter home. As Vaishali digs deeper, she faces resistance from powerful forces who are determined to keep the truth buried. But Vaishali is not a deterrent, and she vows to expose the perpetrators and bring justice to the victims. Moreover, the teaser doesn’t reveal much, but it features the actress’s disparaging avatar.

The teaser is gripping and filled with suspense, giving viewers a glimpse into the dark world that Vaishali must navigate. The teaser is one minute 49 seconds long but still gives a thrilling yet mysterious experience, starring a marvellous star cast of Sai Tamhakar, Sanjay Mishra and Aditya Srivastava. Till now, the teaser received 4,91,000 views and 23,000 likes on Netflix, as Bhumi Pednekar performed wonderfully in the film.

Bhumi Pednekar as Vaishali Singh, the investigative journalist anticipated with powerful and nuanced performance who’s determined to expose a crime, facing resistance and danger. Given Pednekar’s strong track around tackling challenging roles, it’s reasonable to expect her to deliver an impactful performance. Directed by Pulkit, who’s known for his critically acclaimed films like Bebaak and Yellow Boots. The series is produced by Gauri Khan, under SRK’s Red Chillies Entertainment. However, the movie is expected to be a hit assuming through the teaser.

Expressing thoughts ahead of the film’s release, producer of Red Chillies Entertainment Gaurav Verma said, “We believe in storytelling that not only entertains but also enlightens. This film is a testament to narratives that provoke thoughts and inspire societal reflection”. The director of the film, Pulkit also echoed his thoughts. “We aimed to shed light on the harsh realities of society and spark controversies that lead to meaningful change. I am looking forward to more people joining,” he said.
