On Tuesday, Prime Video India announced the upcoming movie, Ae Watan Mere Watan on World Radio Day. Besides this, it stars famous Bollywood actress Sara Ali Khan in the lead role, which will stream on the OTT platform in March 2024.

The official announcement was made by Prime Video and Dharmatic Entertainment which Sara Ali Khan actively participated in promoting. Taking to Instagram, she made a post commemorating World Radio Day and revealing the film’s release date with a captivating video, showing small clips from the movie.
Moreover, Sara also participated in several media interviews. She actively engaged with fans on social media, responding to their reactions and questions about the movie, and generating buzz and excitement for the release. Alongside, there have been reports about Emraan Hashmi’s special appearance in the film.
Emraan Hashmi’s cameo in the movie?
According to the media reports, Emraan Hashmi to play the role of Ram Manohar Lohia, a prominent political leader and socialist during India’s independence movement, with a convincing and impactful performance despite the cameo nature of his role.
Furthermore, in a limited screen time, Emraan’s presence in the film brings the star power. And, his portrayal of a historical figure like Lohia could potentially add authenticity and depth to the narrative, by further engaging viewer’s interest in India’s independence struggle.
About Ae Watan Mere Watan
Directed by Kannan Iyer and produced by Karan Johar’s Dharmatic Entertainment, the film is inspired by true events and tells the story of a young woman who plays a crucial role during the Quit India Movement of 1942. She operates the radio station called ‘Congress Radio’ that broadcasts uncensored news and information to inspire the freedom struggle.
However, the movie includes the star cast of Sara Ali Khan in the lead, Abhay Verma, Sachin Khedekar, Alexx O’ Neil, Sparsh Shrivastava, Anand Tiwari and Emraan Hashmi in the cameo. The film is set to release on March 21, 2024, in Prime Video India.
