Why only appointed in-charges to 23 states?
The BJP’s decision to appoint in-charges for the Lok Sabha poll only to 23 states as a strategic focus to gain victory, as these states where they currently hold power, face competitive races for potential expansion. The party may be finalizing their appointments for the remaining states for careful consideration for the best fit for each region, according to the sources.
Moreover, by leaving some states, the BJP might be aiming for a flexible campaign strategy. They could either assign a new in-charge or reassign the existing ones depending on the circumstances and necessity. Also, they may have a strong organisational place in the states with the current leaders and could be able to handle the campaign duties.

BJP mulls new faces for in-charges
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has introduced several new faces as in-charges and co-in-charges for the upcoming Lok Sabha poll in various states and the UTs like Jay Panda for Uttar Pradesh, Sanjay Tandon for Himachal Pradesh, and many others.
Moreover, women are also present in the list of Lok Sabha in-charges by the BJP. Smriti Irani for Goa, Darshana Jardosh for Tripura, Sunita Duggal for Jammu and Kashmir, and Aparajita Sarangi will be the co-in-charge for Odisha, partnering with Vijay Singh Tomar. Likewise, BJP is planning for its next move for the upcoming election.
Next move of BJP amid poll?
BJP might intensify its campaign in crucial states like Bihar, Karnataka, West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh, where they aim to expand or retain seats. Besides, the party might engage in further discussions with potential allies like JD(U) to consolidate their position in specific regions to start joint campaign activities.
Ultimately, the BJP might make a digital push by using social media, targeted online advertising, and digital outreach to connect with younger voters and rural populations, by highlighting their economic record and showcasing their achievements and promises of future growth.
