After making an immense victory in the three states- Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Rajasthan, BJP will bring new faces for the CM position in these three states.
For this, the BJP will soon assign an observer for the three states to look after choosing new leaders for the higher position. Furthermore, the final decision will be taken by Home Minister Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Fresh faces from BJP to become CM in three states:
In Madhya Pradesh, the reigning CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan could be the strong contender, however, he stated that he will not be standing for this position.
In addition, Union Ministers Prahalad Singh Patel and Jyotiraditya Scindia are in the race. Also, there is a possibility that Vishnu Dutta Sharma and Kailash Vijayvargiya might make an entrance.
In Rajasthan, the former CM Vasundhara Raje Scindia is a strong competitor, but according to the reports BJP might choose a younger face for the top position. Other candidates like Baba Baleknath, Diya Kumari and Gajendra Singh Sikhawat are in the race. Moreover, there is a possibility of Ashwini Vaishnav to enter the race.
In Chhattisgarh, former CM Raman Singh is a strong candidate in the race. But the BJP might choose a new face for the position. Other potential competitors, former IAS officer OP Chaudhary, opposition Dharamlal Kaushik, and BJP president Arun Kumar Sao. Also, the BJP might choose the CM from the OBC background.
Reason for BJP choosing new faces:
The BJP won the election in three heartland states of India. With this, the party announced to bring new faces for the CM position. Here’s to know the reason for the BJP choosing new faces.
Looking forward to the Lok Sabha election, 2024– The leaders of the party looking for freshers may be able to get more voters and generate eagerness among the public for the coming election.
Directing Internal Dynamic- Choosing freshers could be helpful to address action and other things inside the party. Along with this, it will help to avoid conflicts and help the power to run smoothly.
To avoid Anti-reigning issues– States where BJP has been in power, selecting a new face to avoid anti-reigning sentiments and to introduce and promise new ideas and development programs.
Moreover, promoting young leaders and considering the social, environmental and regional issues are also the reasons for taking such steps.
Challenges:
A new leader’s performance will be very crucial. And if they fail to keep the promise or get involved in any controversies, the BJP’s image will be affected.
If the newly assigned leader is threatened or sidelined by the members. The BJP will be affected by this. That’s why the BJP has to look after the internal matters of the party.
Also, the opposition leader might try to dominate or weaken the new leader, which might be a demerit for the BJP.
Future Plans of BJP:
As BJP recently thought of bringing new faces to the three states, this has sparked curiosity to know the party’s plan for the future. The three faces are expected to be in limelight by weekend, dousing the excitement over new CMs of three Indian States.
The party is more likely to focus on appointing local leaders to strengthen the party’s identity, promoting young individuals, leaders who belong to minority groups, and so much more.
Nevertheless, if the BJP continues to stay in power, then more development projects and programs will happen in India.
