CSK retained and released players’ list!

CSK (Chennai Super Kings) under the Captainship of M.S. Dhoni is the most important team in the IPL. CSK is the team that has qualified for the play-offs the most times (12). Also, the current champions CSK and Mumbai Indians have won the trophy 5 times each.

Retained Players :

IPL teams have to release their retained players list from today. Also a list should be given of who has released whom from the team.

Released players :

In this case, CSK team management has released 8 players. Ambati Rayudu (Rs. 6.7 crore), Kyle Jamieson (Rs. 1 crore), Sisanda Malaka (Rs. 50 lakh), Akash Singh (Rs. 20 lakh), Ben Stokes (Rs. 16.2 crore), Dwayne Pretorius (Rs. 50 lakh), Bhagwat Varma (Rs. 20 lakh), Subransu Senapati (Rs. 20 lakh).

This leaves CSK with Rs.32.1 crore. Players have to be selected for 6 slots. You can choose 3 foreign players.

Pretorius announced his retirement from international cricket:

The 34-year-old Pretorius has played 3 Tests, 27 ODIs and 30 T20Is for South Africa since 2016, taking a total of 77 wickets.

He is also South Africa’s best bowler in T20 cricket (17 runs and 5 wickets against Pakistan) in two World Cups. He has a strike rate of 164 in batting in international T20 cricket. He was known as the most important all-rounder of the South African team.

Pretorius had announced his retirement from international cricket in 2023 to focus on T20 cricket. Pretorius was part of the Chennai Super Kings team in the IPL. An all-rounder, he didn’t get the right opportunities.
